CCM: Hot chlorothalonil technical export market in China in Q1 2016 09-06-2016

According to China Customs and analyst CCM, China's export of chlorothalonil technical was hot in Q1 2016, showing growths in both volume and price, mainly thanks to the increase in overseas orders. Some foreign chlorothalonil technical suppliers cut down their supply, so most overseas clients chose to purchase from Chinese producers, boosting the export market.


Export volume


During this period, China exported altogether 5,979.53 tonnes of chlorothalonil technical (mainly including 96% chlorothalonil technical, 97% chlorothalonil technical and 98% chlorothalonil technical), up 9.37% YoY. Notably, in Q1 2015, the figure reached 5,467.18 tonnes, largely up 21.90% over Q1 2014.


Export price


The export price of chlorothalonil technical averaged USD4.65/kg in Q1, up 12.86% YoY. In particular, that of 96% chlorothalonil technical, 97% chlorothalonil technical and 98% chlorothalonil technical all grew to some extent.


Export destination


The US was the largest export destination of chlorothalonil technical from China, with a total volume of 1,853 tonnes in Q1, 31% of the national total. Besides, the top 10 export destinations also included Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, Japan and Israel, combined to be 82% of the national total.


Exporter (by manufacturer)


The top four chlorothalonil technical exporters (by volume) were namely Jiangyin Suli Chemical Co., Ltd., Limin Chemical Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Xinhe Agrochemical Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Weunite Fine Chemical Co., Ltd., 95% of the national export volume in Q1. In fact, the four has taken up significant parts in China's export of chlorothalonil technical in the past few years.
